I see no one is recommending application to young chicks. What about 8 weekers and 4 month olds? I've seen lice in the other coops, since they're all connected via walls. The rodents surely are carrying the lice back and forth. I'm working on the rodent problem too...but can I spray or dust...
I have not noticed a difference with the inner circle. I, too, have 22 eggs in mine right now and all of my inner circle are growing except 1. On the outside I have 10 not growing.
I know the brooder plate is large, but I'm not comfortable leaving for an overnight trip with a heating lamp plugged in and no one here.

Thanks! They'll have a ridiculous amount of room outside, and the sooner they go out, the better for them IMO. This isn't my first time with chicks or chickens, just the first time having to go out of town, RIGHT after a hatch. The timing is terrible :(
