I'm a stay-at-home mom and my husband & I are starting a little homestead so our kids can have lots of farm experiences like we had growing up. I decided I wanted to start a small business of selling chicken hatching eggs & chicks because it's something I can easily do with our kids & they will enjoy being involved with it! I started off with thinking I would just get a couple chickens to start but as I researched which breeds would be great with the kids I found there were so many wonderful breeds that I couldn't decide between & now we will be having a flock of 20-30 chickens of many varieties!
