I have a flock of 12 chickens. They free range most of the time and have a nice large run when they're not free ranging. We also have a dirt floor in their coop and I use the deep litter method. I have a few questions:
1.If there is a worm in their poop do I have to de-worm them?
2. What type...
I didn't post these, do you think all of these are roosters too? Maybe 1 isn't? I have 4 spangled hamburgs. I think the 2 with long tail feathers might be.
@donrae I was shocked! From most people I talked to with chicken experience, they said it was quite a crazy thing to get so many Roos. It is the Year of the Rooster, maybe that's just extra luck for me? Haha.
Yea, thanks for the input. I'm so disappointed. I've invested a lot of time and money into these guys. I was hoping that I was wrong. I think from now on, I'll fork out the extra cash to get all females. Lesson learned! Thanks again for the help!
I ordered an assortment of 24 rare breed straight run chicks. They are now 20 weeks old. I'm afraid 1/2 of them are roosters. I have someone coming to pickup the roosters tomorrow, but I want to be sure I'm not giving away hens. Do you mind helping me out and confirming my suspicions? Thanks...
I also have these 2 pretty ones. I assume they are Blue Andalusians. One is slightly lighter than the other. I would be so happy if one was a Lavender Orpington.
