    Attacks

I have an 8 year old hen. She is being aggressively attacked by several other hens. I have her in a 5x5 cage, in the run. She wants out with her flock. If she gets out, 3 other hens rush to attack her. They will also patrol her cage, they really want to kill her, I think. I thought about...

Scaly leg--how long until Ivermectin works?

I'm curious about the egg withdrawal with Ivermectin. People take Ivermectin, so why the 14 day withdrawal?

    Poopy butt

This morning her crop was much smaller and the little that was left still felt gritty. I gave her wet food and she went right to it. Her Butt is still nasty. I don't know how to help her... I really do appreciate your help, thank you

    Poopy butt

I believe one of my chickens is sick. She has a very poopy butt and I'm having to rinse it off. It smells worse than regular chicken poop. I trimmed her fluff but that didn't help. I've checked her closely and there isn't any signs of pest hanging around. She is going in the nest box at night...

    Hoop coop related question

We just bend them into a "U" shape and strap them in. They straighten out when we remove them.

Predator Proof Enough to Leave Door Open?

I feel your pain with the heat, I'm in South Central Texas and have the same temps. Can you or do you have electricity in your coop? My fan is inside the coop but is pointed out the window. It pulls the hot air out of the coop. In the beginning, I wasn't comfortable leaving the door open...

    Water changing in hot climate.

I live in Central Texas, I just add ice to my waterers and top of as needed. Adding shade cloth to block out any sun will help with both algae and water temps.
