    Sounds like the purple area is a hematoma (bruise)? And also the food may be in the mix to make her unwell? Look at the ingredients. The cheap mixes contain so many chemicals. She may even have a blood thinner in that ingredient mix. I'll take a look and get back to you on that. barb

    Opps! I forgot, in addition to the syringe method of getting digestive into the bird, you can also add to a soft food, like cottage cheese (diluted) and serve it up, if the bird is willing. Sorry about that!
