Select your darkest eggs and test mate your roo, track your pullets first 20-30 eggs and keep selecting darkest eggs and backcross to your known dark egg roo.

Yes, I sold all the pullets and day olds from Copper and Christy (OE), so it was perfect timing and hopefully I'll get a few more of each to grow out, be nice to see another Blue or two from Poppy x Christy.
I just cull when I see mossiness. I've noticed minimal will sometimes molt out but excessive usually doesn't. I like your commitment to your Marans, pretty passionate about my two varieties as well.
