I will bottle a batch of kombucha
I am doing a load of laundry
I will plant my garden starts
(I will work out on the elliptical; I will de-bug the asparagus)
I got the plant I started from seed for the bees planted, and the cherry tomatoes. I ran out of time and it was very windy, so I'll work on the rest tomorrow.
Lots and lots of plants to plant....
My great Aunt Lou called me "kid." She told me she hoped that was all right; she had so many grand kids/nieces/nephews that sometimes she couldn't remember their names.
She had Oreo cookies, which my mother never bought, so yeah, it was ok with me if she called me kid. :gig
It was a struggle, but we did get the antique truck moved. The last bit was really the only hard bit; trying to push it on uneven soft dirt/grass on a (very) slight incline. One more person pushing, it would have been a piece of cake.
The truck is a 1938 flat bed Ford. V8 (on the hub caps) and...
Will help hubby move his antique truck from the pole barn to the old garage
Will plant some/all of my vegetable starts
Workout on the elliptical
De-bug the asparagus
The last two are daily "do every day" things.
Clothes, make up, hairstyles, eye glass frames, shoes, and cars. Styles come and go, and then sometimes cycle back.
I aim for comfortable on four of the above, reliable on one, and don't use the other.
But poofy bangs. :lau
I pulled the grass out of the blueberry patch. Six bushes are loaded, three have a few flowers, but they're only two years old.
I also dug out some weeds at the edge of the asparagus. The chickens got some grubs.
I de-bug the asparagus patch every day now. I will eventually win the war...
@cavemanrich, I hum that song a LOT when I'm weeding the EWOs. I need to do that. They don't get too weedy, but I do need to keep up with it so that they don't.
I heard that song recently, and it made me laugh.
I have the starts still in pots, still in the dog crates, and still covered with sheets. Hopefully that will protect them from anything severe. My plan is to plant them out Thursday and Friday, which should be cooler, partly sunny days.
I have 20 flowering honey bee friendly plants to pick up...
We got nothing like what @Swiss got! Some much needed rain, and for that I'm thankful.
Another round of storms come through tonight; the biggest threat is west of us. I'm hoping for just some more rain.
Baker Creek's poor/very poor seed germination rate was a big topic on the garden thread. In some cases it was zero percent, on several different crops, and from more than one person. This is disheartening for me; I've recommended BC several times as a good place to order heirloom seeds online...
@NanaK, I want to tell you that the seeds you sent me have sprouted and are doing well. Your collards had a much better germination rate than the seed I bought from Baker Creek.
I'll be planting my hardened off tomato, pepper, luffa, sunflower, and cucamelons in the garden on Thursday or...
Oh, Jared, I am so sorry to hear this. A friend of mine has dealt with kidney stones since he was in his 20s.
Sending you healing hugs.
:hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs
I'd be tempted to name some after BYC members, but what happens if the bird ends up dying, or being a real butthead?
Hey, So-and-So person on BYC... I named a chicken after you and it died. Or, it ended up being a butthead rooster, and I sent it to freezer camp?
Nah. Not going there.
