    My wife recently bought mini sweet peppers. To my surprise they are seedless. So, they are parthenocarpic and probably pollen sterile in order to grow fields of them. Never knew.

    Getting some heavy rain finally. The garden needed it.

    Last 2 days have not been so hot. I like it. Rains never came. Afternoon thunderstorm predicted today. See if it happens. I mowed some common ragweed. It was about 6 inches tall. Grass is turning brown. No need to mow grass.

    I have a great granddaughter turning 6 this week. We will have to go see her. Thinking of a swing set for her birthday.

    Those seat switches can be a pain. They need to be adjustable so you can adjust for different drivers. It would be safer than bypassing. I weigh enough so no problem for me.

    You didn't ask me but I use Fryin Magic dry mix. Just coat them dry and deep fry. They take on enough coating to be tasty.

    On the subject of tomato / pizza sauce we like Rao's. Costs more but really good IMO.

    Found my first of the season SVB attack. Injected BT. Watered some. Grass is starting to turn brown in spots. Cucumbers starting to bloom. Blackberries starting to turn.

    My beagle stayed outside for the fireworks. Her choice. She laid on the deck and listened to the distant noise. She is not afraid of the noise.

    I have 1 zuke plant and it is ready to bloom male flowers. 2 more plants are coming up. Backup plan. May be late enough to avoid SVB. I try several methods to avoid pests.

    The garden is wilting in this heat. Things perk up overnight.

    I needed a rest and only watered a bit. Bugs are getting bad. I had 2 ticks recently and the chiggers are bad. I wear chore boots outside to stop the chiggers. I got lazy and wore shoes outside and regretted it. The heat has slowed me up.

    I did some air layers on trees, some bud grafts and a cutting. Something should work. Woke up tired not sure I will do much today.

    I have not seen cucumber beetles, SVB, or squash bugs yet. Just lucky? Control efforts finally paying off? :confused: Whatever the reason I am glad.

    I used blood stop powder to slow the bleeding. Couldn't keep a band aid on because I was leaking blood. Used duct tape to keep the bandage on. Not that bad of a cut really.

    40 + years ago a skunk would come at night to steal any dog food not eaten. Drove the dog crazy and sometimes sprayed to back the dog off. Windows open and skunk had to be dispatched so I could get a good nights sleep.

    True story. I had a friend who used to be a neighbor before he moved to town. I used to tell him when I lived trapped coons that I released them in town near his house. I really did not. :gig

    Not as hot today. Mowed and got the 2 cattle panels up for the cucumbers. Chance of rain after 5 pm. I am waiting for the clouds to do more outside. I think the rain will miss me.
