Yep. You mix some brown stiff (leaves, wood chips) with some green stuff (vegetables, grass, droppings) and wet thoroughly but not so it's soggy. It needs air (oxygen) so let it dry out some. If you stir or turn it you will add air and speed up the process. Compost stinks if you have a bad...
Same here. I wanted to take shop, was told I couldn't because I was a girl. I knew more about home economics than the teacher did, so forcing me to take that class was a total waste of time.
My husband wasn't handy, and now that I am a widow I am glad that I was the one doing most of the projects.

For the first hoop coop I made an A-frame roost from two pallets. I would like to leave more open area/room in this second coop.
It's not my pallet project, but I agree, it's nicely done! I'm going to keep this woman's pallet shelter in mind, as I am hoping to get a couple goats when I retire.

Cut a square out of an aluminum soda can and then trace & cut a hole in the middle that matches the bird house opening. Attach to outside of the opening. It helps to keep bigger birds from enlarging the hole and evicting the chicks inside.

Looking at your raised bed "toppers" I had a thought. Would it be practical or possible to put a couple hinges on one side where the top is attached to the raised bed? If it's sturdy enough you could just flip it open to work on the plants.
