Looks like wildfire smoke is going to get me again (learned my lesson last time). I'm still going to try by my house. If I was off work tomorrow, I would definitely consider flying to Washington. The NW and some Midwest look good.

Went back to Alligator Alley today. Haven't shot in a while so I was very rusty (missed focus, improper settings, etc.). I really need to make a solo trip just for photos here, very cool place.
There's a neat planetary lineup that's going to happen tomorrow morning before sunrise. Venus and Saturn will be positioned above the moon and it should look like a smiley face. I get off work at 5am, so I'm gunna try and get a pic if the clouds cooperate.

It may be hard to see with your naked eye, but if you put your camera in "night mode" and take long exposure photos you should be able to see it much more clearly. This is how the one last Oct was for me...
