    I somehow ended up with 3 broodies sharing 20 chicks. Cardhu and PITA sleep together with chicks. But PITA and Focus range together with chcks drifting between them.

    That's cause we had a rainbow in the incubator. 20 chicks hatched and all 3 broodies adopted them all. The chicks seem to be playing musical mamas....and are a week old.

    1 suggestion from 1st hand experience. Turn the hives so the entrances face the fence. This way, anyone approaching the hives isn't walking toward the entrance. Being right in front of the entrance can make you viewed as a threat to the hive, causing the hive to attack. My 3 year old brother...
