Toms found a fawn in the poultry yard. They ignored it once it got up. It looks bigger than it is because I was shooting uphill. About 20ft from the house.

I have had bad teenage pullet moms that were better as adult hens. My bad broody turkeys were given 3 and 2 chances. The 3rd time is the charm.

Bad broody makes good soup too. I usually have bad turkey broodies, but I have found people that just want a hen for their tom. So I sell with full disclosure.

Glad the kids are doing well. Do the parents have visitation rights? I got one of those emails for the byherds group from niftychicken.
