    I just got back from the grocery store. Not many eggs for sale there at all. None of the "cheap" eggs, and those had gone up about 50 cents a dozen from the last I knew. I wonder how many chickens Herbrucks culled?

    The TSC stores near me get their chicks from Townline in Zeeland, MI, close enough to come by truck. Townline says they have 55K breeder hens and estimated 5M hatched last year. They sell to the public too, but do not allow pickup. (Thank goodness.)
