They got up it with surprising ease. I was worried about that myself at first, but when they were young they could walk right up it, then jump up on the roosts. I put a box in the coop to help them get on the roost when they were really small. Now I can take the ramp out and they jump right up...

Thank you very much! I put a lot of thought into the design. I used pressure treated lumber, then primed and painted everything. As for the hinges, I believe I used stainless hinges. I even used corrosion resistant screws. I think this chicken coop will be around for a long time.

I got the chicken wire from my father in-law for free, so I guess beggars can't be choosers. I have seen the food bucket swinging back and fourth at night from time to time. My varmint hunting schnauzer gets really interested in something out there sometimes. I guess we might get rats/mice...
