I should clarify when off antibiotics for couple weeks she lays the yellow poop. So the cycle starts over. I'm not sure if she should be on calcium anymore? She eats a 17% layer pellet with oyster shells on side. My hens have a mobile run we put them in during the day and in their Coop and...
Here is what I got from Jedds. I appreciate everyone's replies! I'm grateful. Her vet has her on a sulpha antibiotic and it's going to run out soon. He also gives her liquid calcium but since she hasn't laid a real egg in months. She laid shell less eggs and lash eggs repeatedly now just lays...
It says it's 10g Amoxicillin per 100g. My syringe is the small ones that go to .09 ml . I was going to mix up a half cup and keep it in the fridge when I need it. Just not quite sure how much powder to use.
I purchased a bag of Amoxicillin 10% powder. The directions are 1 tsp per gallon of water. I am wondering how much the dose would be for a 4lb hen I would give via needle less syringe. I tried doing the math but am not making headway and was wondering if someone has the math figured out already...
Peppers take longer to grow than tomatoes. I start mine a couple weeks before I start my tomatoes. Gardening is a great science experiment! Have fun and I hope they both germinate for you!
She started this last summer. I was really praying that after molting she would somehow revert back to normal but she laid a lash egg once she stopped molting. He treats her for egg yolk periontitis/ saplinitis. She gets a sulpha antibiotic for 14 days and Calcium Glubionate syringe dose daily...
I'm hesitant to offer any advice in here because I'm definitely not an expert by any measure. I do know, however, my hen has had salpingitis on and off for quite awhile. The people in this forum saved her life but she still continued to fail over time. I then found a wonderful vet who seen her...
I give mine mash on the liquidy side and top it with meal worms and a dab of yogurt to entice her to eat when she is having any problems and it usually works.
