    Joanna's molt is almost done, and she's mostly white! What a change. She's barely 18 months, this was her first molt. She's in the middle here ⬆️ and yes, she's not regained her comb, yet. Here she is pre-molt

    We had several store credit cards when my dh and I first were married, and we got into financial trouble. Got rid of them. I have a major credit card that I use for travel, and fuel, and online purchases, but now I pay it off every month. I got tired of seeing those interest rates eat up my money.

    Running a dishwasher weekly just to keep it in good working condition seems like a waste of resources. Just mho.

    I started to suggest the same, remembered the flour. I can't eat CORN, like gluten allergies it's very limiting. I work around it. I went to a church gathering, and the main dish was shrimp stew. I'm allergic to shellfish. So, I ate crackers.

    I was cleaning out my freezer, saw I had some frozen strawberries and frozen rhubarb, decided to make a pie today. The strawberries were about 4 years old, a bit mushy, but I added a little extra flour and it came out fine!

    What are your frugal and sustainable tips and tricks?

    I am the dishwasher, though adult son cleans up after big meals. :hugs I usually wash my dishes and pans immediately after I eat, as it keeps things less messy. We had a dishwasher once, in a duplex rental. Hardly ever used it.

    I try to buy local as much as possible. Amaz0n and other big online retailers offer discounts, but when the local stores can't compete, and close shop, you'll have little to no choice, have to go with A. I do use other online retailers, even if their prices are a little higher than Amaz0n. I...

    Nice. About 20 years ago my dh bought a little Christmas cactus. It stays on our front porch, until early November, but always blooms by Thanksgiving.

    Never had tongue. No thanks. No chitlins for me, either, not even a taste. :sick I have tried but don't like squid or octopus. They're rubbery, too chewy.
