I want to keep better records of my incubation attempts. And it is my hope that if I post it here, maybe I might get some tips of hints as to why sometimes things go spectacularly well or poorly. Fresh eyes with more experience might pick up on something I missed.

Decided to go with the Saddleback Pomeranian geese for now. We picked up six two day olds from a breeder a few hours away. Hoping for two breeding pairs or a really nice trio. ☺️
No idea what to expect with goslings. All the geese we have had before have been adults at the time of...
In search of a goose breed that is the need of Some TLC and it's not particularly Aggressive I stumbled across the pomeranian saddleback and there happens to be a breeder not far or at least not too far from where I'm at. But I just found out that the Holderreads will be selling adult geese in...
It has been quite a long time since I have been on. Today I am here to see if anyone has Creve eggs that they are willing to sell me. I have a need to inject some new genetics into my closed flock of three years. If that is you I would love to connect. Thanks!
My mama rabbit kindled 9 healthy baby rabbits on the 2nd of April. I've been checking in on them everyday making sure that there are still nine and that mama is healthy. Today I went in a little later than usual and there were only eight upon examination and when I searched the box and the hutch...
I've found a few threads about skunks as predators on here and read the thread on skunks at the learning center. I will say however, that with reading what I could find I came to the conclusion that my recent predator problems could not be a skunk. The MO was the same as this member of the...
My son and I go to the locally owned feed store at least 3 times a week in the summer just to explore/get out of the house/see if they have anything we 'might need'. I was there today when the brillant idea hit me while looking in on their chicken pen-why not see if there are any eggs from that...
I've been reading what I can find and what I have time for about the sex linked barring gene. I know the basics but I thought I'd rack the brains of those who know far more than I to see if you can come to a different conclusion.
My one and only roo right now is barred but I don't really know...
Howdy all! I've had livestock and chickens since I was very little. Now that I'm a married momma we have our own farm and raise sheep, rabbits and CHICKENS! It's a blast and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I decided after days of being addicted to these forums (it's true what they say :o)) to...
At the beginning of July our first ever broody hen started hatching her eggs. Well I should say egg because that is all that hatched out of five. How's that for a natural hatching percentage? :o) Anywho I felt bad for the lonely little roo and I went to the feed store to buy him a buddy. I was...
