    CRD Question

    Im pretty sure I have a hen with CRD. Ive read alot of posts on the symptoms and treatments, the only thing I havent seen is, Does the area (coop & run) hold the germs of this even if the birds are culled??? Is it safe to put new birds in the coop after the others are gone?

    will they move?

    Suppose the heatlamp is producing too much heat directly underneath, are the chicks "smart" enough not to lay underneath it? If so, will it be ok for the lamp to produce too much heat as long as they can get away from the heat to a cooler region of the brooder?

    How much?

    How much space do 11 chicks need for the first 4-6 weeks? Temp. should be warm enough here in 4-6 weeks to move them outside. Right now i have them in a cage that is prob. ????3'x3'????

    Eating while sitting

    Greens Question..

    Ok, I have a Mali Uramastyx (aka: a lizard) He eats kale, mustard greens and turnip greens, but he can only eat the leaves off of them. Can I give the stems to my chickens or will it be bad for them???

    Deer Corn?
