    Female Temminck's is on her way!

    My male, Mr. T, was so very chatty this morning he must know that I have a girl on her way just for him! I have never heard him so talkative, right next to me, I do not know how to explain the noises he was making, maybe a deep "peep". The female should be here by Wednesday, hopefully tomorrow!

    Why are there no Mandarin, Wood Duck or Pintails at most poultry shows?

    I was so excited to get some of these last fall and I just got home from the NE Poultry Congress in Mass. There were none of these breeds at all. The more I thought about it I haven't seen any at any shows around here. Is there a reason I should not bring mine to our county fair this summer?

    Red Golden pair and Temmincks pair - will they interbreed?

    Woodies, Mandarins, Pintails & BEI's - winter set-up?

    We have a pair of Red-Goldens, can I add another breed in the same pen

    We have a coop that is 7 ft square with an attached 6 x 24ft run with a pair of Peafowl and a pair of Red goldens. Would another breed of pheasant be ok with them? I know of a breeder that has a bunch, ie. Amherst, Impeyan..., and wanted some advice before I called him. Thanks for your help!

    Age to process Chanteclers

    I have some Chanties that are now 15 weeks old. Has anyone processed them before? Recommended age? Taste & texture? If they aren't a good meat bird I will unload them at the auction. Thanks!
