My male, Mr. T, was so very chatty this morning he must know that I have a girl on her way just for him! I have never heard him so talkative, right next to me, I do not know how to explain the noises he was making, maybe a deep "peep". The female should be here by Wednesday, hopefully tomorrow!
We live in New York and I don't mind driving. Hoping to find a hotel, cabin, tent site on the water any where from Maine to Virginia. Not fussy, and if I do say so myself, my kids are really good. We would love to have somewhere to swim in the ocean, do a little hiking, biking, kayaking...
He is such a friendly guy, if he sees one of our family he will trot right over, looking for treats of course!
If anyone knows of a female for him we would really appreciate it!
I have a 4-H group and found out that DEC has something to do with providing Ringneck chicks/eggs to be grown and released.

I am thinking about going to the auction. Over 9 hours drive each way so I really want to be sure I want to go. Any info I would greatly appreciate.
The only bird I am looking for is a Temminck's Tragopan female, but I heard there are crazy animals there.
Due to circumstances beyond their control my neice and her DH need to have their lone Nigerian doe stay at our home with my 2 Pgymy/Nigi mutt does for a few months. My winter set-up is small. A 4 x 8 ft shed with a 20 ft square yard accessable all day then at night I close the girls inside the...
I was so excited to get some of these last fall and I just got home from the NE Poultry Congress in Mass. There were none of these breeds at all. The more I thought about it I haven't seen any at any shows around here. Is there a reason I should not bring mine to our county fair this summer?
I have a coop (7 x 7) and run (14 x 27) that we have a pair of IB Peas, pair of RG Pheasants and a Tragopan. The fencing is chain link dog kennel panels and the top is fully enclosed with 2 x 4 welded wire.

I have our Peafowl/Pheasant aviary that is 14 x 24 with a enclosed house that is 7 x 7. There are a pair of RG and a pair of Temminck's (well, female coming at the end of March ) and a pair of IB Peas. Do you think they will be fine in the spring? Info on nest boxes too would be great! Thanks!
I currently have a pair of IB Peas and a male Red-Golden in a run in my barn. The inside "coop" area is 6 x 8 with a pop-door to a chain link run that is 6 x 24 with a tin roof over half and the rest is covered in welded wire. Question is: I am getting a female for the RG and a male Temminck...
We have a pair each of Wood Ducks, Mandarins, American Pintails and East Indies. Is a dog house inside a chain-link dog run, totally enclosed in plastic with a tin roof sufficient? Our winter nights get into the negative temps. Thanks!
We have a coop that is 7 ft square with an attached 6 x 24ft run with a pair of Peafowl and a pair of Red goldens. Would another breed of pheasant be ok with them? I know of a breeder that has a bunch, ie. Amherst, Impeyan..., and wanted some advice before I called him. Thanks for your help!
Going this weekend to buy some ducks from a breeder. They are sold as pairs, I am driving 2 1/2 hours each way to get them, my housing is a 4 x 8 shed with a attached 6 x 10 chain-link dog kennel run with a tin roof.

I have a pair of IB's now in a enclosure that has a 6 x 24 ft run with a "house" area that is 6 x 7. Anyone jave experience keeping other birds in with their Peas? Bantam ducks, pheasants, etc. Does it work? Thanks!
I have some Chanties that are now 15 weeks old. Has anyone processed them before? Recommended age? Taste & texture? If they aren't a good meat bird I will unload them at the auction.
Thanks!
