    Brining young roos

I've been back and forth on brining, having read opposing views about loss of taste. I'd like to hear from those that have tried both ways; brining and not brining, is there a loss of taste? I've pieced the roos that I butchered last week to cook in sauces and broth so too late I guess for...

    GSD: Are 2 hours enough?

Should they rest a couple of hours after eating or is that too long? I'd like to do what I can to eliminate any chances of bloat/torsion.

    Quail: Are they seriously seasonal?

They stopped laying about a week ago! My quail are indoors and I've added extra light on a timer a couple of days ago but they haven't started back laying yet. Will they? Or are they done until Spring? This is the first fall/winter with them for me and I'm surprised that they quit so soon.

Momma & kittens found their way to a new home! Pics

A female cat showed up on wednesday last, half dead from starvation so I fed her for a couple of days noting that her teats were slightly swollen and figured that she was pregnant or had a litter. It took her 3 days to get to looking alive and today she seemed to have the strength to go out so I...

Litter box instructions ( for rabbits )

Thought I'd post this on it's own thread as this method will save time cleaning and is mainly odor free. I'll just say here that the litter used is wood stove pellets @ about 4$ for 40 lbs. I'd love to see pics of your completed boxes! start off with a kitty litter box with a removable rim and...
