So I have a Hovabator and lately I have been having terrible hatches 4 out of 19 (4/9).
This is the position (maybe slightly to the left) of the eggs during the last hatch (12 made it to lockdown)
Red = hatched.
Yellow = mostly developed
green = almost mostly developed
blue= clearly undeveloped...
So I have a chick that is always on it's back or side it runs but never walks sort of uses the side of the box to guide it. It can't stay upright AT ALL.
Any Ideas or suggestions?
So the weirdest thing happened to me today. I was out looking at my chickens with some friends and all of a sudden this parakeet appeared. Have absolutely no idea where it came from.
If anyone has lost a green/yellow parakeet in the Sumas, Whatcom area let me know!!!!
What I would like to know is..
1. So does toe punching make the chicken bleed?
2. At what age can you do it?
3. Is slitting it better than making a hole?
