I have 30 hens and have a pecking problem! It’s happening at night on the roost as best I can tell. We put up more roost length so they all wouldnt be fighting for the one roost. Pecking is mostly the neck area and seems to be spreading to more hens. I think the stress is also affecting...
I recently bought a Vevor automatic chicken feeder. I am having a big issue with sparrows, so I thought that it would help.
My question is, how do you train the chickens to use it? How long does it take to train them?
I have taken out the feeders that I used and replaced with one of these.
If...

and how do I treat a flock of 40?
I have read a small piece of bread with medicine on it and that seems easier than by mouth with syringe. We’ve had a lot of rain so in the water wouldn’t guarantee they would drink it. Also I sell and give away the eggs so I won’t be able to do that for 2...
I noticed it a few days ago and it looked like it was old so Ive been treating it with spray and antibiotic ointment.
‘I tried to wrap and that didn’t work and I noticed today that she was sitting a lot so I looked and it was bleeding. I assumed the other chickens were pecking on it.
I know...
My chickens had lice and tonight I’m giving the second dose of permithium The first dose seemed to get rid of lice and their poop seemed a lot better but now this😢
Is it normal or not
Thanks
After first treatment with permithin
The lice are gone but the nits or eggs On feather shaft remain
April 30 is next treatment so will the eggs hatch by then?
And is that why you treat 3 times?
I have a flock of 40 hens and I found lice on two of them today. I know that I need to treat all hens and the coops. I have the permethein to use.
so questions are:
what do I do with all the bedding I’m going to dispose of? Can I put it in the compost or should I burn it or just put it in...
I have 40 chickens and started having runny poop from several chickens
Back down on poultry grains because I’m sure I was over spoiling them
The runny poop is better but I still have couple
This morning I found very runny poop that looked like it had blood in it
they all seem like they are ok...
They were scattered around the area. I am thinking it was dog(s). They weren‘eaten at all just dead😔
This is my question. We had 30, 8 are left and my husband counted the 11. Could the other 11 still be alive and roosted in the trees or Hiding in the cornfield? and if that is a possibility...
She can put weight on it but spends a lot of time sitting. It is not a new injury I’ve noticed her hobbled for about a month and a half
Can I wrap it to try and mobilize or have I wanted to long?
