    Coop Foundation, Finally!!

    This was supposed to take a couple days. It's been a week and a half, though there were days I couldn't work on it due to rain and most days I only had a couple of hours to dig. So glad to have this part done! Fingers crossed the rest goes more smoothly, now that the foundation is level and sturdy!

I have 17, almost 6 week old chicks but had I not found some of this information, it definitely would be 16 chicks (maybe even 15). I had several folks tell me that keeping vents...

    Asparagus = STINKY!!

    So we've been using the deep litter method with our now 4 week old chicks. We have had no smell issues at all until the last couple days. They were so STINKY! I thought it was just that they were getting older but while chatting with a friend I realized that we fed them the slightly tougher ends...

    Smitten New Chick Momma Hen

    I just wanted to start a thread for those, like me, who just want to talk about how smitten they are with their new chickies. We got 17 Delaware chicks that are about 2 weeks old now (they will be split up between myself and 2 others once they can be sexed) I've never had chickens of any sort...

One is still alive thanks to information I found here. I'm looking forward to chatting with folks who...
