    Possible sex-link?

We recently crossed our barred rock (sire)/buff Brahma cross rooster with a golden cuckoo maran… the two chicks look so different. We suspect the black and white one will be a roo and the other a hen. What do y’all think? Here’s a pic of the chicks with grandma… they’re only 4 weeks old so we’re...

Help! I’m worried 3 out of the 4 are Roos.

We ordered 4 chickens this year, all different and new to us breeds. I’m worried that the silver laced Wyandotte, the speckled Sussex, and the lavender Orpington are roos. However, I’m fairly new to the chickening world, so I’m hoping some of y’all can give me better news... thanks!!

What can I do that will be safe for the hen and eggs? I’ve got another “broody hotel” I can move her in, but should I wash her, wash the...

My hens are: Buff Brahma, RIR, Buff Laced Polish, Lavender Orpington, Golden Cuckoo Marian, and a Silver Laced Wyandotte. Thank you so much! (Also if you...

Hi, just joined. I have a small flock of various breeds. Generally I’m interested in how the genetics of chicken breeding works. Fascinating stuff. Thanks!
