    Wet Run need help

    My 10' x 20' run is staying really muddy these days (and also stinky), any advice on what I can put in there to help absorb some of the moisture. Would sand be ok?     7 weeks old (Pic Heavy)

    I moved them out of their brooder this past Sunday into the coop. I've been letting them out in the run for a hour or two every day while I can supervise until I get the poultry wire around the bottom of the run. As you will see, they have their own guard dog. (Bessie the basset hound)

    My how they grow so fast...(Pics)

    here they are 12 days old. I keep one end of the box pretty warm, but they have about 4' that they can roam freely and cool off if need be. The black australorps have the longest necks so far. I had the lid up for the pics.

    I dear friend of mine gave me a 55 gallon plastic food grade drum this weekend. I was thinking of building a drum stand out side my coop and plumbing is a ball valve and reducing down to 1/4" tubing. My question is will this supply enuff pressure for an auto waterer? Does anyone out there...

    Bartlett Feed

    Anybody use Bartlett laying feed. My local guy carries Bartlett and can order Nature Wise. My chicks are eating Purina Start and grow now. i can drive a little further and buy Purina Layena, but I would rather support my local guy if I can. Thanks in advance!

    Hickory tree next to run

    I've got a small 20' hickory tree right next to where my new run will be located. I thought it might provide a little shade for the birds, but wonder if they will try to eat the bittler nuts and make the eggs taste bad.
