Just picked up these chicks today and some including this had a little pasty butt. Never seen this before on any other chicks I've gotten.
Some also had a black dot in this same area. Im worried they might had a disease or something
Hi Chicken friends! Ty for helping me so much!
My Roo is definitely mean/doesn't like my older hens (I have 3 of them and 9 younger/same age as him)
I separated the older 3 because one of them is also an egg eater. I let one out today to see what Roo would do and he immediately chased hen into...

New situation going on in our flock:
Our Rooster has now come of age, crowing, being a dude etc.
Before he started to crow my older hens would put him in his place a bit (which was kinda nice cause our last rooster was meeeaaann)
Now it seems like rooster is running the older hens into the coop...
Is this a roo or hen? Saw it jump on another chicken, it keeps it's head up more than the other jersey giants and it had the reddest comb and wattles out of the others. Can't tell if the tail is tell me rooster or if there are saddle feathers.
Hi everyone. Got new chicks at TS and one had severe pasty butt/huge clog stuck, idk how long for. Was able to remove it and saw the white part of this poop in the vent. Finally she pooped and this is the result. Is this healthy? Is this a concern? It worries me as far as the stringyness of it.
Need help of anyone knows whats going on here or has had this happen before.

Shes the lowest of the pecking order.
Honestly, can't ever get too close to the girls because of our rooster. All the other chickens look fine.
Obviously it looks like she...
Hi, need help, I spooked a chicken while she was laying on accident, and she ran away without laying. Unfortunately now none of the chickens want to lay in their nesting box. They are laying in the coop near it. How can I get them to use the nesting boxes again?
I am a new chicken owner and my chickens are 20 weeks. We have 1 rooster and 5 hens. (all same age). 3 of our hens just started laying and we let our chickens free range the yard when we can so they don't feel cooped up in the run (they always try to escape lol).
Yesterday, I was calling them to...
Hey all 2 questions,
So my chickens just started laying eggs almost a week ago.
The 2 who lay I noticed are now standing on the roosts at night vs before they laid eggs they would sit. Why is this? Is this normal?
Also, one of them (olive egger) laid in nesting box twice but the 3rd time laid...
What did you SWEAR by to get rid of flies? In the coop AND run.
First time chicken mama and yo. Didn't expect to be in war with so many flies. 😂 help please.
I put those liquid fly trap bags, DE and vanilla scent trees up. So far the vanilla scent trees seem to be effective and I literally...
I have a question and maybe it's just me being a clean freak but literally how do some of you let your chickens walk around your house?
I am so curious because I was under the impression that like, touching chickens poop, or the chickens step on their poop and it's all over the place, on my...
