I posted pictures when my flock was 4 weeks old and I am unable to update that post so here I am creating another. I have updated photos and the group is now 8 and half weeks old and I am intrigued to see what people think they are!!! If you think someone needs a better photo let me know :)

    Feed recommendations?

When I got my chicks my local feed store and Blue Seal Multi-flock starter and I’ve been feeding my pullets that, the feeding instructions say that after 8 weeks you should switch layer pullets to a grower feed. Most other feeds are starter/grower and im looking for recommendations of a feed to...

Give me your educated guesses :)

I have 8 chicks, all of them are 4 weeks old. I originally ordered 6 but the hatchery sent me 2 extras. However, I do believe I did not get all pullets as requested (I do know sexing is not 100%) I have attached 2 photos of each and I would love to hear what you all think they are. Below are my...

    Build Immunity to Coccidiosis

My 8 lovely ladies seem to be happy and healthy. They are now 2 weeks old and I would like to start building immunity to coccidiosis. I have read that some people bring dirt from their yard into the brooder. My question is do I just bring in a little bit of dirt or a patch of grass, and should I...

They sent me an extra so now I have 3 chicks that look a like when I didn’t even know which one was which in the first place lol… I’ve done research but from what I can see they are giving off vibes of either and I’m at a loss. Did a little photoshoot...

To ventilate more or not to ventilate more?

I am been making some adjustments to my coop and I’m wondering if I need to add a little more ventilation. I have upper cross ventilation if you can see in the photos, then I have a window that opens on the door. Should I put some type of vent across from the door? Or is it good the way it is?
