    You could use oyster shell as grit but your chcikens may get calcium the simply dont need... I always have grit and oyster shell available free choice.... No raw potatoe peels are not healty... Consult the treat chart under the learning center tab for a complete list! Ps...they love pumpkin...

    I wouldnt consider it abusive...simply decipline... You have to teach your hens that u are their rooster and to follow your rules... Then all will be well

    I would build a 4x8 just for the simple fact thats how big ur plywood comes in... Alot less waste and less cutting for those who arent good with a tape measure

    I think the spray bottle is a great idea for being noisy....with that being said when they are being calm and quite that is when the reward should be given...only give treats when the are calm quite and docile! Hope this helps!

    To stop from singing you could use a bolt or even a dowell rod ran through the upper suppou could use cardboard or get ya some nice panelling and cut to fit... You will want to ensude it is free from drafts so something soldid will workorts straight into the cradle... To elimante the space...

    Welsummers also appear to be very similar to brown leghorns in color...wellies have red ear lobes and leghorns have white
