    All the red is done! The house is 7' X 4' and the floor is 36" off the ground. I have cement floors and will put sand and shavings down on top. They also have a 3' wide space of dirt that is 10' long so they can dig some. Their total space in the run is 10X25, but it can be separated.

    Close up of Hen House with nest box showing. If I could have built it myself, it would have been cheaper. I used new materials. It's sturdy! Costs: $4,000 (labor & materials) It could be done cheaper with used materials and faster labor. ( I didn't have a choice.)

    Thanks so much for your article, I am now at the point of finishing my coop run and have 2 different ages of chicks. This gives me some ideas ahead of time to introduce them.
