Yes, I'd much rather buy from someone I know or hatch eggs. I mainly hatch eggs these days. Some day I want to go visit Hen Thymes, her birds are soooooo pretty!
One thing I would have liked to have known before getting chickens is the importance of having a first aid kit that's solely for the chickens on hand in case of emergencies.

To answer this question...Another question to add - How are you "wrapping the chain link" I cant seem to get my head around how we are going to wrap the HWC and attach it to the chain link. Would zip ties work? Or do we need to get something else?
