FYI for everyone coming up 165 to the Expo.. lots of speed traps in the small towns between Alex & Monroe...

hey yall we got a couple of inches of the white stuff today !!! here's my coop, notice not a chicken in sight,lol. they can come & go as they please,but they don't care for snow.
oh it'll be a mess when it melts, looking forward to warmer temps this weekend.

I'm trying to keep a list of different migrating birds I come across this year.
I've seen some coots here but they were way smaller than this one. I had no idea they didn't have webbed feet.

The winds here have been up here in Louisiana, one thing I notice is my chickens stay close to cover. I tired to take them to open pasture & they wouldn't go.
Predator birds can make an easy catch with all the leaves falling & trees constantly moving about.
