    We have 60 chicks in the brooder and noticed bloody stools. We have not pin pointed what chicks have it and what dont. I ran to local Co-Op and bought Corid 9.6 liquid solution. I just put 2tsp per gallon in there water. Question is can I feed medicated feed when on Corid?

    We have have had tons of chicks just never mail ordered. We dip beaks and put them under heat in brooder. I'm assuming that proper procedure? Some chicks where not able to walk or stand on arrival others seemed to get around fine but died.

    We just ordered chicks for the first time ever from Meyer Hatchery and I gotta say not a good experience. One chick was DOA and they have been dropping like flys. Out of 27 chicks we have lost 9 so far and a few still fighting for life.

    It has good ventilation. It has a vent up top on one end and at floor level on the other. It causes the air to circulate through. And yes plenty of windows for natural light and fresh air.

    From what I've read on reviews the sunbeam heat pad is not verry dependable for the price. Lots of reviews say it just stops working.

    Go to Lowes or Home Depot get a dimmer switch for your heat lamp you can adjust your temp that way instead of having to adjust your lamp up or down.     They are very active eating and drinking running around the brooder. They run to the light to warm themselves and gone again. They are not chirping loud and all is well.

    The temperature in the garage or brooder? 90 dagrees and 30% humidity under the heat lamp. Just guessing the garage temp around 45-50 dagrees.

    The reason I did two heat lamps is because the brooder is so long. Im gone working about 12 hrs a day and was afraid a bulb might burn out. This way I had a back up heat source. There is 3'to 4'between lamps?
