I can sometimes get $35 out of my well laying popular breeds like Buff Orpingtons and Easter Eggers. I usually get $25 out of the not as popular breeds, and $5 out of old chickens that don't lay anymore.

http://pronouncedpoultry.weebly.com and http://metzerfarms.com are both good places. I mostly order from metzer, but pronounced poultry is good for if you want just a few birds to pick up close by.
How old are they now? Most chickens start laying by five or even six months. I wouldn't save any eggs for hatching, however, until the hens are at least ten months old and have been laying for a while. This would insure that the healthiest eggs are used for producing chicks.
I have as well/ This seems to be a critical time. If your temps were a little low, they could hatch late. If your humidity was off, (an inaccurate hydrometer) they may be stuck to their shells. I had one in my last hatch die for this reason. If they don't pip by tomorrow, I would poke a...
