hello. my beautiful rooster called spot has been lifeless and can barely stand for about a day. another one of our chickens just died from similar symptoms, so i'm resorting to coming here for help. he stands up and looks like he's going to poop, but can't. he also barely will eat and drink...
i hope she gets better! we've had two of our lovely hens die from this and it was really sad. thanks to everyone posting how to handle this situation; now i'll know what to do in the future.
we are planning on advertising them this weekend. we're only keeping three of the roosters, including rocky. thank you for the advice! and for everyone else, we're way too attached to them to have them killed, but if someone takes them and uses them for meat, that's none of our business.
hello. i have a cage of 21 chickens and 3/4 of them are roosters. we hatched them from our other chicken's eggs so we couldn't get rid of them ((although we are now being forced to)). many of the roosters are becoming very mean and cruel to the other roosters, even the hens sometimes. they...
we got an old english game rooster on easter at tractor supply! he is so friendly and he always runs to me when he sees me. everyone should have one of these chickens!
UPDATE: he is completely fine now. his wings are back in place, as well as his head. we think he probably had a heat stroke due to the sudden change in weather. thank you for helping :)

you can only let them be free range after 2-3 months. if it is a completely different temperature outside than inside, lean more towards three months. good luck with your baby chicks!
we have had this problem with our flock of 21. not, one of our small wheatens, was attacked by not only other roosters, but hens as well. he almost bled to death, so we separated him from the rest into his own cage. he's been in there for about a month and is healing well. i would suggest that...
hello! i added this to another thread but i'd like as much help as i can get. my old english game rooster is very listless and tail feathers down. not sure if he is eating or not. i saw him drink a little bit earlier, but not a substantial amount. is there any way i can save him? he is my baby...
