Other then a decreased appetite thats the only thing going on, she has become very very friendly these last few days letting me pet her and feel under her stomach so I was assuming maybe it was just because she is pregnant. She has also been spending a lot of time in her house part and her belly...
I have New Zealand doe that should have babies in a couple days and she is noting eating like she normally does. Is it just because she should be have babies!
I usually feed manna pro but tractor supply doesn't carry the GRO so I had to get southern states premium 18% I'm mixing with there regular food. I'm gonna try to get a small bag of BOSS. I think I'm gonna get some alfalfa cubes for them but continue their Timothy hay.
I would like some opinions on what people feed their pregnant/nursing does. I hear some people feed them some parsley to help produce milk, does this work? Also should I feed them a little alfalfa hay. I feed mine Timothy on a regular basis.
Her day 28 is Sunday so that's why I am waiting. Plus she likes to wait till the last minute to make a nest but I have her nest box full of hay and ready to go. I also breed my gold tipped steel New Zealand doe today so hopefully march 30 I have some more babies too!
I moved sweet pea yesterday she seemed a little nervous at first and stayed in the house part but when I went out to today she was perfectly fine, coming up to the door to greet me and I think she is enjoying having another rabbit next to her. Very excited for her to kit. I'll be putting her...
I think I might try to move her today she still will have 6 days to settle down in her new cage before she has her babies. But her new cage she will be next to another rabbit which her old cage she is by her self. She is only moving about 10 feet
One of my silver fox does is due to kit march 5, next Sunday. I want to switch cages because her cage has a house part but I'd rather her have them in a nest box but I can not fit one in it so I would like to move her to one I can. I am worried though I might stress her out or something. Would...
My silver fox doe I got about 2 weeks ago gave birth yesterday(she wasn't suppose to have ever been bred before) it took me by huge surprise. She did very good making a way with hay and pulled tons of hair but I just went outside to check on them and all of them were cold and dead in the nest...
I have two female ducks that started laying this year, i have others but they won't start till next spring. My two that started laying was a blue Indian runner and a pekin. They started laying this spring when it started to get warm then they laid for maybe 3 months then stopped and haven't laid...
My broody hatched two little chicks last night. Well I just went to find her off her nest with just one chick. I went towards her nest and found the other a couple feet from in hidden in the grass. It has a wound where the leg meets the body and a hurt leg. I saw little white worms in the wound...
I have this growing in my duck pen and around some other pens. My goats seem to love it, the pic is of the plant in my duck pen so I wanted to let my goats come in here and trim some of it down for me but I'm not too sure about it, does anybody know if it's ok for them to eat it?
I've hatched eggs when it's snowing, just depends on if you brood outside or inside. I keep mine inside till they start getting feathers then I put them in the chick pen outside but if it's still too cold I have a heat lamp in the coop part for them.
