September 30, 2009. Completed. Well. 99.9% done. Just waiting for the aluminum to cover the nest box cover. The girls are loving it as much as we love sitting on the deck and watching them.

Spring 2015
It's been so long since I've been on here and lately it's only daughter taking care of our hens. We've gone from a few to a bunch and they still make me smile. That its, until one rooster gets on my last nerve.
We've gone from just enjoying them to my daughter becoming more...
What an interesting journey and what a nice looking coop/run being constructed.
Can't wait to see it done, see the girls in it and having fun.
Good job.
I use chicken wire on my run but my girls are behind a six foot vinyl fence patrolled by three dogs.
Not sure I'd use it if not for that fence as there are coyotes, skunks, eagles, hawks and other wildlife running around outside the fence or over head.
Good luck with your coop plans and may...
Very nice.
Can't wait to see it down, filled with with the chickies and enjoying themselves.
Also and idea to "borrow" for next spring and addition time.
Angles always confuse me.
To think you're doing it and getting it done right is that maybe I can build something without grabbing the hubby and begging him to do it for me.
Still doing the yay you're building a run and it looks mighty fine dance for you.
Go, IA!
It looks wonderful. You're doing a fine job, IA.
I couldn't have done it as well. Or have any fingers left unharmed. I'm clutzy that way.
Can't wait to see pictures of it done.
Hours later and I'm still dancing, still going outside and telling those silly hens how happy I am for them.
I can't wait to order 8 more this winter for spring.
I've got chicken fever! Girl is begging me for a d'uccle rooster. She just might get her wish.
Thanks for dancing with me...
The silver sebright and the mille fluer d'uccle, the ones we've been waiting for to come online, presented us with two little eggs today nestled up to the dutch bantie's egg already in the nest box.
Oh yeah. Happy, happy, egg dance of joy.
All hens are laying. I'm not at all excited. Really.
