Hello, I have a young smoothe sizzle splash. Still unsure if it is a pullet or not.I know it has come from your lines. I am also on the 530 poultry group on fb. I did not get the chick directly from you, but from Kristy Warner Flake.
I hope they keep on that track! My Calico Cochins I got at the same time ended up being cockerels. I have what I consider some friendly birds, but these 2 will happily sit in my lap and nap. My daughters named them Dandelion and Fluff
Update on my little Fuzzy butts. They are about 7-8 weeks old. Neither one has combs. I am new to silkies, and am not sure of how to sex these little ones. Hoping that both are pullets.
I am really hoping that 1 of these is a girl. I am pretty sure that Cootie, the mostly black and white one is a Cockerel, but I was hoping Tweety would be a pullet. Cootie's comb reddened up faster, but now both combs look pretty good size. They are about 8 weeks in age.
I have 2 silkie chicks. My girls have named them Lightning and Thunder. They are only about a month old, but I am thinking that Lightning is a roo, and Thunder is a pullet.
This is Lightning. Notice that stance!
This her is Thunder. She is showing signs of being a sizzle. I also think...
My rooster started looking like a rooster by 2-3 months. He started crowing at 4 months I think. It is so funny when they begin to crow. Some can start sooner or later. My rooster was is an Easter egger. He runs the flock now.
