You shouldn't give them the egg whole because, like mentioned they will get a taste for eggs. What i do is wash the eggs if the are dirty cook the yoke and whites then, crush up the egg shell and feed it to them. It gives them needed calcium and vitamins. that way they don't go to waste either.
I have 3 Blue Swedish ducklings, they are 3 weeks old. They have a gallon waterer and dry it out twice a day. Granted a lot of it ends up on the ground but that seems like a lot to me. These are my first ducks so I'm learning. Thanks

I have a White Crested Black Polish bantam that has laid an egg every day for the past week. So excited, I've never had a bantam lay that may eggs straight. Anyone else have chickens that lay more eggs than their breed normally does?

I have 13 chicks all different breeds, They are 3 weeks old. 2 of my Black Australorps, and 1 of my Black Jersey Giants have not grown in tail feathers. All the other chicks have and 1 of my Black Jersey Giants grew tail feathers. So whats going on? Does this mean they might be roos?:confused:
The coop design is up to you if you want a shed design, or a traditional coop, or something crazy. For 20 chickens i would say about 25 square feet. So figure out a design, look up pics of coops and find one you like. Then design yours like that and adjust the size to what you need.
