Thank you very much! I put a lot of thought into the design. I used pressure treated lumber, then primed and painted everything. As for the hinges, I believe I used stainless hinges. I even used corrosion resistant screws. I think this chicken coop will be around for a long time.

RedBarnFarms, Thanks for the info! I will be switching to straw or pine shavings when I run out cedar. I just watched your barn/coop video, and I'm jealous! I wish I had room for something like that.

Joan, I got the chicken wire from my father in-law for free, so I guess beggars can't be choosers. I have seen the food bucket swinging back and fourth at night from time to time. My varmint hunting schnauzer gets really interested in something out there sometimes. I guess we might get rats/mice...
