I'm looking for chicken lovers in the Cincinnati area. We are looking for a home there but there are different ordinances for darn near every location! I don't want to live where I can't have feathered girls! If anyone has suggestions I will definitely take them into consideration! If we had a...
Makes me grateful for my friends that have cared for my zoo. I get fun texts a couple times of day telling me which animals are throwing parties and who was requesting 6 course meals.
There are others who add spent brewers grain to increase the protein (runs in the ballpark of 32%). Its often free from local brewers. Can be dried or frozen to last a bit longer. I haven't yet tried it but will be soon with winter bearing down & fresh greens becoming scarce.
I've been looking at the 101 ways to keep water from icing over in cold weather (we will drop to -20 degrees in any given year). I was wondering if anyone has tried a reptile heating pad under their metal chicken waterer? They are designed for damp environments so the thought crossed my mind.
Oh my goodness! First thing that came to mind was Hee Haw!! Blues, despair and agony on me!!! Did I mention there are only 2 closets in the entire house also? One is full of extra loom parts so really....there's one. I either need a bigger house or less hobbies....I know which of those things is...
Is it sad that I'm jealous? I have no drawers in my house but 3 and they are packed with kitchen utensils. I grew up with a junk drawer and had always had one. Now I have to have "junk baskets". Just looks like more clutter in my itty bitty house.
I just opted for a shave on my matted girl. Her favorite past time is rolling on rutty concrete and her hair is nearly as fine as a chinchilla. I now have a fantastic brush for her. It looks like a torture device! The metal bristles are long and fine like bent needles but she doesn't even mind it!
Oh Blooie, I'm so sorry about your nephew. Just reading that made my heart stop. I can't imagine losing any of my nieces, nephews or their children. My very first niece only made it to 1 month in 1977 and that is still left such a void in the family. To lose a little guy that you've truly come...
It's rarely seen here but there is a TV show that is filmed in Texas that is about homes being moved and flipped. I really enjoy watching the things they do with the homes! That tilted house looks a little unnerving.
