Oh, just a little sour...no problem. Actually, my egg birds just ate a moldy watermelon rind a few days ago, and they're still alive. (: If it's just slightly off, I don't think there'd be a problem.
Not all chicks hatch at the same time. That's quite normal. A baby may hatch the night before and the others hatch during the night/next day. I'd say wait 2-3 days...Momma usually stays on her nest to let most of the chicks hatch.
Sweet corn helps add a delectable element of sweetness. (If you're really desperate, you can put in a little brown sugar too. Or just put some in. Just in case. ;) )

Scovies like to graze, so if you have an enclosed area, or a carefully watched one, with some grass, short weeds, etc., she'd like to nip at all the vegetation. Especially seed heads!
While tending to my ducks one damp and chilly evening earlier this week, I found the youngest duckling outside his pen...lying stretched out on the ground. :( "Oh great, he's dead," I thought, ruefully picking up his stiffening body... and then I noticed his neck was moving! Even though his...

Somehow the above seems a bit amusing. And ominous too.
