Chickens possibly arriving to neighbour, could I have a problem?

An update. We met today and he brought up the chickens in the conversation, luckily he wil get them of mine, so I don't have to be worried now. Or him, but I think mine couldn't pass anything on his, as my chicks never got anything from the bigs when met, I don't know. I don't know if he wants...

    I cried for hours

Forgot the funniest part! After the divorce the guy stayed, she packed up horses, dogs, children and was gone for good. Except letting the one who killed the chickens... At first I thought she will come back for her just the car was full, but no. The guy said he doesn't know why and don't know...

    I cried for hours

Thank you very much. Yes, It's unbelievable to me too. When I had ours escape, I didn't come home without him, and didn't enter the house before making sure it never happens again(wind blew gate open until I was outside and it wasn't locked) they just let them go... The other was aggressive, so...

    I cried for hours

I'm so sorry for what happened to you. I know how you could feel, my old dog, trained to live with the chickens in the same garden one day killed a rooster that bothered him sometimes, after that I found 2-3 dead chickens, even after we added a muzzle on him. He's already getting paralyzed and...

100 Pound Dogs Fighting! Advice please..

Our first move was to try to find other home for the dobermann but it's very impossible for such an old dog (he killed some of my chickens, got a muzzle and still did it, so no question if we need a super clever shepherd or a crazy who can't even do his job protecting the chickens) He is friend...

What color is this, and how do I breed more of it?

My chickens have the splashed white if that helps. I'm not good at genetics of chickens, searched a good explanation on the colours for ages but found none, unlike the rabbits I had of whom I could easily write up their carried genes. Also having the wild pattern on black and yellow makes me...

Chickens possibly arriving to neighbour, could I have a problem?

Thank you very much, it was very informative. We did have mycoplasma affecting two hens and two roosters of the 30 some years ago, maybe they are immune to that, but never had the chicks catching it ever. (I hatch a big amount one or two times in a year and integrate) We have other chicken...

Chickens possibly arriving to neighbour, could I have a problem?

We have a fence, chicken wire on the lower part. We have some pines there, but the branches are higher up, and they are some meters inside the territory where my animals are free ranging.

Chickens possibly arriving to neighbour, could I have a problem?

I'm sure he will not want chicks, he want them for children collecting eggs of hens. Also I have 55 chicks right now, that will be visible to him in a week, hoping he might talk about it, but I will bring up the question maybe if I meet him not in a hurry, usually he is.

Chickens possibly arriving to neighbour, could I have a problem?

Our new neighbour made the house a hotel and now getting farm animals for the guests to watch and pet. He is planning on getting chickens, and have an enclosure built, but no coop yet, so I'm not sure he will really get them as it was planned for this march. We offered him chickens the last...

100 Pound Dogs Fighting! Advice please..

We have two boys, one is a dobermann mix 14years, other is a komondor 3years old. We had to separate them at 1,5 years of the small, because the dobermann is so dominant and can't understand it would be a bite for the other to kill him... It started as him playing rough, and humping (for...

What color is this, and how do I breed more of it?

The colour of your rooster looks like mine, and it's a mix of white and partridge for me. In a group mixed of barred, white, partridge and yellow I got barred and white chicks first, I kept some for eggs, and hatched some of it, and got very nice colours, something similar to yours, but a little...

Please help me! Do I need to help out?

Congratulations on them, they are adorable! ☺️ Every time I see ducklings they make me want to get some, but I'm convinced they're not an animal for me so I resist, but it's so hard! 🥰

Please help me! Do I need to help out?

I'm so happy for both of you and you did great! I learnt that safety holes can make them a little lazy, and hatch a little slower, because they don't feel in so much of a hurry to pip, as they have enough air inside, so don't be surprised or worried for that. :D I hope the other one will be out...

Please help me! Do I need to help out?

Sorry for nobody answered yet. I have no experience with ducks, but have a lot with helping chicks out. As best indicator, you can listen to the egg, if it makes no sound you can knock on it carefully. Is it sound calm or as if it would be in distress? I figured out that calmly sounding chicks...

Can I give chick starter feed to abandoned bird?

Yes, I understand, still it can be illegal. It is even illegal to keep a feather of some birds, even if I can't get the logic behind such laws.

Can I give chick starter feed to abandoned bird?

You can keep them close to the heat lamp if you use one, but make sure they won't get in contact, like with a barrier or something, but watching them they are alone all day as parents are busy with feeding, and only being warmed in the night. Other thing, it can be illegal for you to keep them...
