Lots of questions, i answered a couple already in other replies. Don’t know if I should still check her vent if she hasn’t started laying yet. She may be getting bullied and not getting enough to eat though. Don’t really have a way to isolate her except to bring her in. No bloody poop. Whole...
None of the rest are acting like this. I don’t want to bring her in because then I’ll have to keep her in the whole winter because she won’t be able to handle being put back out in the cold after being in the heated house.
This is Elvira she is around 7 months old and has been fine until now. Yesterday she let me pick her up which is unusual and today I found her in the bottom of the back of the coop when I fed them. She was alone and didn’t run up for food as usual. I picked her up and got her to eat by putting a...
A couple months back I posted about my “dominques” and wether or not they were all pullets. This one in particular I thought was a cockerel and everyone said pullet. Here are some newer photos of he/she. Do y’all still think pullet? Because I don’t.

They came from a large farm where they were looking to get out of chickens. They weren’t quarantined but I had already lost some of my young ones before I got them.
Well there was just a lot of rain from the hurricane so it was hard to keep everything perfectly dry but I tried. No way to put in heat because they are at our land where we don’t live and the only electricity is a generator we use to run the well.
I am feeding layer pellets with a few side treats of grains and sunflower seeds. Not sure how many I’m even down to now but it’s like maybe 25-30. They have a huge run that’s like 50x50 with a large coop with roosts and 8 nesting boxes plus other places to lay eggs placed around the run...
I’m sure it does sometimes but I only feed what they will eat soon and not enough to sit there and get bad. This time though I knew it would rain so I moved the feeders into the coop.
