Silkie Breeding - How did this happen?

It's starting to make sense by your explanation. The white is recessive white c/c, that's why I need 2 white birds to make a white or a non-white bird with c/C makeup! If my white hen is 1/2 partridge, and the partridge baby is a rooster, then if I breed him back to the mama hen, I should be...

    Hi Everyone!

I'll see if I can take a picture and post his crowing. I honestly think that because it has stretch it reminds him not to stretch it to crow instead of being this rigid, uncomfortable thing that the velcro ones are.

Is this a Silkie hen or a rooster?

I'm not sure. Some of my hens are pretty dominant because they didn't have a rooster most of their life, so they kinda so I have no clue!

Is this a Silkie hen or a rooster?

Thanks! I really hope so :) I was a little surprised when Silver Fox didn't start crowing, but I read that silkies may not start till a year sometimes especially when there's another rooster.

Hi Everyone! I got this beautiful Silkie and was told it was a rooster. It's 5 months old now and not crowing. Can anyone tell me if it's possible this is a hen? Also, what's this color called?
