I bought 500 ppm from Amazon to use for my sick hen who has reproductive cancer that has spread to the stomach. She now has sour crop. What would you recommend the dosage be that I give her. Was thinking about putting it in her water as she doesn't want to eat but does drink.
I took her to a vet that did an ultra sound. Have read in the past about cs "wonders" with mareks disease and thought it might be worth a try with cancer. I'm also thinking about trying fenbendazole. For now, I'm just giving garlic mixed with vinegar water. Vet didn't give any treatment options...
Does anyone have any idea what food would be best to feed hens to extend their life? I don't care as much about getting eggs as I do for them simply being pets. I of course want them to be healthy, however I learned about Matilda the chicken that lived to be 16 years old, and based on all the...
I appreciate everyone for your replies. It seems in the last couple of years that it's rare just to get a reply compared to how it used to be on this website.
Today I had an ultrasound done on my hen and found out she has stomach cancer which they believe has spread from her reproductive system. Does anybody have any remedies or success on treating/curing this? I've read about success in humans from baking soda water, and some from fenbendazole, but...
Hello, and thank you for your reply. :)
Thankfully she doesn't have mereks disease and has no lumps that you can feel. The doctor said they "believe" she has it near her abdomen which is likely pushing on a nerve for her legs to feel pain when touched. I'll post an xray. Let me know if you can...
Does anyone have any success at treating/curing cancer in chickens? I was told mine has it and she has lost all movement in her legs. Has been in a sling for the last few weeks. She seems to keep getting worse and I'm trying to do everything I can to slow/stop it.
Have been giving her alkaline...
So I had to go out of town that week and was able to let a vet technician look after her, and when I got back, her foot has now fully healed where the bumblefoot was, but she still refuses to walk. Even the vet tech said it looked very minor as there was not even any swelling around the foot...
Her foot started out as a minor case of bumblefoot and though it was a minor place compared to what I've seen on other people's chickens, she started to just lay around and didn't want to walk. So after I took the scab off, it finally healed but she still has refused to walk. I have no idea...
I have a chicken (almost 4 years old) that has had an injured foot and has been having to stay inside until I can finish her separate cage. I change her bedding twice a day but I noticed her eyes looked a tad bit different as if there's some cloudiness to it and first thing I thought of was the...
