We are going to Nashville Oct 12th or 13th (not sure exactly when leaving yet) but it wouldn't be that far out of the way to meet in that area on our way there, if we could work out the timing and space for them in our vehicle :)
Ours love worms and crickets from the yard, my boyfriend will dig for worms and they chase him around the yard :) they also love crickets, eggs - cooked, even with the shell of you hardboiled and we havent ventured much outside that but I have read they can have most vegetables.
My boyfriend had some prior knowledge from owning birds but he used the below link, which shows you which set of feathers to clip :)

You're welcome! If you change your mind or you'd be willing to meet us in the middle somewhere please let us know! We had a buyer for 5 that never showed and we really do not have room for 14 more (as much as I would love to keep them) more concerned they have a home than the $ for them.
I think this is pretty normal behavior. Ours used to do this before we clipped one side of their wings. In the wild they naturally roost in trees so they like to be up high :) I suggest looking into clipping their wings if you'd like them to stay on the ground :)
We learned the hard way as...
In our experience with ducks, we have to force them in their pen. It will be freezing out and they would still stand outside (we don't want them to get frostbite). You may have to take that approach to help keep them safe at night.
Hello all. We have 14 muscovy ducklings for sale, approx. 3 weeks old. $5.00 each. Parents are pied, most ducklings look like they will be as well, there is 1 all yellow duckling who looks like it could be an all white muscovy. Contact if interested and I will provide more pictures. Pics...
Just a heads up you may have to force the muscovies to use the house. We have muscovies and when it snows they will stand outside in it like they don't care, with their noses in their feathers but their feet and carnacles are both susceptible to frostbite so we shut them in their enclosure...
Our muscovy will lay 20-30 eggs before she starts sitting on them, she will not go "broody" until the last couple days of laying and then once she sits will only leave about once a day for food and a bath, if we put the food & water in her hut she wont leave at all. They are great mama's.
Soooooo what color is it??! :) I have one currently with a similar color head but the rest of it is brown with black feet and a blue beak so curious how shes going to look as an adult, her head is very similar colors to this one.
Hello! We cannot take any chicks due to where we live but have some 3 week old muscovy ducklings we need good homes for. We are in NY, we will not ship either but might be able to meet somewhere if interested.
