how do I wrap them? Just with gauze and medical tape?
Do you have a picture of what it should look like wrapped?
I ordered some duck shoes from PartyFowlPets yesterday
@onaharley @Miss Lydia
@Miss Lydia ok. Thanks! I thought they would limp around or not want to move if they were hurting...they're so active. Now I know to check them all of the time.
I noticed this morning that one of my sweet duckies has what looks to be bumblefoot.
There seem to be varying bits of advice on how to treat this.
What is the best way (preferably without scalpels!) to treat this?
Also, do I need to wrap her foot and how do I do this?
@Miss Lydia - you've...
She's acting normal for her. She's always been a little high strung and suspicious of everything compared to the other girls, but she's eating, drinking, swimming, playing with her sisters like normal. I'll give her a little bit more time and then take her to the doctor if I'm still concerned...
I have 4 Welsh Harlequin ducks. Three of them started laying a few weeks ago, I get 3 eggs per day. I'm assuming that one hasn't started laying yet and they're not just taking turns, one of them doesn't touch the oyster shell. Is there a point that I should be concerned that she hasn't started...
oh no! My ducks were afraid of it at first b/c I just kind of tossed it in their run...they're afraid of everything at first so I should've known. This one comes with a carabiner, so I clipped it to the gate and they like that it stays in one place and they can go up to it to play.
39! I have just the four lovely ladies. I had in my head that I could only have 6 at most because we're inside city limits...but now I can't find that anywhere...so maybe more ducks in my future :)
Thank you! They're so funny, they seem to like the snow but only stayed out for about 30 minutes or so and then went back inside and snuggled into their straw.
