    Im in trouble!!!

They have a noise ordinance, but no specific limitations on farm animals or chickens. I have neighbors with horses, pigs, goats, fowl, anything you can imagine. Just a noise ordinance is all they've been able to give me in writing.

    Im in trouble!!!

I have to go to court in October regarding my chickens. I'm new to this small town, which was sold to us as a homestead. The realtor assured me pets, chickens, and horses were all allowed. My neighbors have goats, pigs, chickens, turkeys, peafowl, but for whatever reason I'm not allowed. The...

Ended Funny Chicken Name Contest - Win 60 lbs of Grubbly Layer Feed From GrubblyFarms

I had a RIR named Supper. She was moody and bullied the other girls, so I would tell her we were gonna eat her for supper one day, and the name stuck.

What color are my new girls?

The lighting is a little dark, but I'll take a guess and say from left to right; Millie fleur, black-mottled, and golden-neck? I could be wrong. I've heard the black can be anywhere from lighter to darker, so idk. I've always had Millie fleur's and I just love them. I think my roosters are so...

    Devastated

So sorry for you and your kids, and the frizzle who lost her buddy. Hawks are so bad here and it's against the law to kill them. When my flocks were young (I have 3) I would have to physically put them into the coop after dark. All 3 sets did the same thing, roosting right in front of the run...

    Silkie comb, male?

I wanted broody hens that I could use to hatch and raise guinea keets. So only time will tell. These may be mongrels. This is Stripe, the straight combed silkie. Pip, he has grown...and then some of them hanging out, afraid of me. Hard to photo that's for sure. I bet you raised some...

When she has no fight left...

Hawkeye aka Hula girl is my favorite girl. From the day I discovered her beak was a little different from her mates she did nothing but fight. She proved to me time after time I was wrong, she was a tough old bird, and she would fight for her life against all odds. I decided to trim the upper...

    parrot beak

Hello, I was curious how your hen made out? I have an EE with the exact problem, there is very little info on this specifically and I assumed she had crossbeak. Her tumor is so large, the bottom beak is actually curving in on itself(kinda of like when you roll your tounge) and I can't see her...

    Silkie comb, male?

Now that some time has past, I'm certain this a roo.I have some new pics that I'll upload soon so you can see the difference too. It's just fun to watch them change. I just did a treatment on all of them for coccididsis. I'm pretty sure two (of six) had it, probably from day one. Now I'm...
