I’ll never forget waking up on an early October morning to hear the undeniable sound of new life unbound—PEEP PEEP PEEP! I was shaking like a leaf with excitement.
Our Easter Egger hen Lucille 2 (from the show Arrested Development, also we already had a Lucille, so it was perfect!) had turned...
I have had turkeys and chickens. They were never housed together, or even mingled together (I’m a stickler for biosecurity and npip recommendations)🤓😄👍.
One thing that always sucked, was that the turkeys ALMOST NEVER returned to their giant turkey-friendly coop when the sun set—and the random...
You HAVE to go purchase a trap. Or get one online! If it really is so worth it to you. You do know what to do because you wrote it in your comment “I don’t have a trap and I don’t know what to do” (I say this in an encouraging, trust yourself, you are competent and capable way) If you can’t...
Aw man :-( im so sorry! That’s horrible! I hate to see hopelessness and despair. I too live basically AMONGST the raccoon (used to love em, can’t believe I ever did. My conservationist mind struggles with it, but, no yeah, they seem to have evolved like the wolf to the dog...I really don’t like...
They are NOT bantams. Heehee, along with every other aspect that makes them perhaps the most unique; they ARE a small sized chicken but they are NOT categorized or considered a Bantam Species. Please edit.
But also, good entry :thumbsup

Especially for BAKCYARD CHICKEN FLOCKS! Oh my gosh, it’s perfect!
You can purchase single packets for $1 or less that are measured out for one...
My “son” trying to come inside :). Turkeys are intelligent ENOUGH to form real bonds with their people, and have VERY unique personalities. They’re like, in between a chicken and a dog. THEY’RE THE BEST! (MINUS THE FACT THAT MY TOM AND I ARE SIMILAR IN SIZE. like...we’d fight in the same weight...
Also. How old is your hen. Have you had her since she first started laying?
It sounds normal. Most, if not all, turkeys are NOT bred to be prolific egg layers. The numbers we are used to with chicken hens is unnatural.
Also. Turkey hens have, on average, three good years of laying. After that...
Yeah, give it more time to see. Also
—Save-a-chic (for me it’s been the most reliable brand) or any other brand poultry/livestock electrolyte replenishment supplement would be a fantastic help for your new baby-boos. These products are most recommended for these exact scenarios.
