I replenished my dwindling flocks (1 bantam, 1 large fowl) around the first of June. They are from different sources, Ideal and Hoover, but all 14 bantams are 7 weeks old, give or take a day or two. I could identify most of them, but I got help with the first one on here earlier. I was told...
I might borrow a couple of those. I have a few new birds I need to name. I already have:
Circe
Morgana
Marie
Hepzebah
Zeus
Hecate
Merlin
Gaia
Hades
McNosh
Curly
Henry
Trivia
Spot
McCloud
Gracie

Straight combs. I considered the Lemon Blue. Was kind of hoping it was, but never occurred to me they were the same breed. I think both are Hoover’s because I’ve never had their bantams and didn’t recognize them. That makes me happy. Thanks!
I haven't posted in a while, almost forgot how.
I am starting a new little flock of bantams, mostly for my grandkids to enjoy. I bought 5 straight run mixed breed bantams from Ideal and 5 from Hoover when I ordered some new standard hens. I recognized all but 2 breeds; the sex is not really...
A frog laid eggs in my neglected pool years ago while I was busy moving. I decided not to disturb them as I would be draining it. Every developing frog had a defect, most had missing limbs. I think of frogs as green Canaries.
On a mission to grow as many Martyniaceae (many referred to as Devil's Claw) as I can find seeds to sow, have found and grown out several. I have never grown one with that seed pod. Thanks for the new quest, lol.
